Freya opens an old box containing various keepsakes, including a bunch of handwritten letters. Freya explains that she found these love letters written by her own late grandparent, who was having a secret lesbian relationship with Margaret. Freya shares the letters with Lumi, knowing it's part of her family history. They reflect on how hard life must've been for their grandparents, since they couldn't be public about being lesbians back then. The conversation reveals that both Lumi and Freya are lesbians as well.
There are sparks between Lumi and Freya, as they wonder if fate brought them together. They reflect on how privileged they are to be able to live the lives that their grandparents couldn't, and agree that they should make the most of this opportunity. They kiss, which then leads to tender sex.
