Fileserve, Uploaded and Filesonic is down !

As you probably heard FBI closed MegaUpload and arrested their owners. In reaction to that others filehosting servers get afraid and here is a result:

Fileserve banned accounts of most uploaders including our. They also deleted most of our files. W're sorry about that but there is nothing we can do.

Uploaded.to blocked all USA IPs and because many our visitors are from America we will not upload to ul.to anymore.

Instead of these two we will try some other new servers. You can also write into comments which servers you would like to have here !

EDITED: Filesonic is next. Nobody know which servers will be closed in next days but stay with us ! Because we will always be here for you !

    I just had renewed my account for another year with Filesonic. Hope I can get the money back now.
    I propose Netload, they are German based.

  • ndorobei on January 23, 2012 - 13:02 Reply

    I know you monetize this site...
    Well IMHO the safest filehost is outside US and their ally.
    I would recommend:
    ORON: Russia
    DEPOSITFILES: Seychelles?
    PUTLOCKER: Russia/Bahamas?

    Honestly I think filepost will be next.

  • TFPG on January 23, 2012 - 12:36 Reply

    FilePost...only because I signed up for a new account. But give it time so you can figure out what's gonna be up for sure and what will be taken down.

  • Dunc on January 23, 2012 - 09:41 Reply

  • Juan Salvador on January 23, 2012 - 08:29 Reply

    Torrents!!

  • The Hawk on January 23, 2012 - 07:13 Reply

    It won't happen overnight, but I suggest going to a torrent-based system. I know it will take a lot of work to get a torrent tracker up and running, then get newbies up to speed on torrents, but long term that's the best solution. This file hosting thing won't shake out for a while. Maybe even charge for access to the tracker.

    To see how things go, you could start by posting links to public torrent trackers like thepiratebay (they'll never be intimidated by anybody) and maybe 1337x.org.

    Anyway, just a thought. Good luck....

    Rapidshare..........I know it doesn't make money like FileSonic did but it's the only player that's going to stay......

  • FUCKERMANN on January 23, 2012 - 06:51 Reply

    I choose to TORRENT, Wupload and uploadhere.com, because:

    Megaupload = Dead for now.

    Hotfile = Basically dead, deleted lots of new uploads, banned heaps of users with multiple violations (this was ages ago by the way.)

    Filesonic = teamed up with Vobile awhile ago to Protect Copyrighted Digital Content
    http://www.prweb.com/releases/2011/12/prweb9049088.htm

    and has now disabled File-sharing..so now you can only download your own uploads.

    Fileserve = basically doing what hotfile did, deleting all new uploads, and older illegal content, banning users with multiple violations.

    Filejungle = Deleting Links.

    Uploadstation = Deleting Links.

    FIlepost = same thing that hotfile did.

    Uploaded.to = Banned American IP's.

    Probably, Netload is next

  • dwhayes on January 23, 2012 - 06:43 Reply

    Check to see if http://cramit.in/ will serve your (and our) needs.

    There's a list at http://www.eostech.in/2011/11/list-of-all-free-file-sharing-and.html that may prove to offer some other alternatives too.

  • Chandler on January 23, 2012 - 06:34 Reply

    Yeah guys, we need to be patient and wait few days/weeks because nodoby know what will be tomorrow. Meanwhile I will use some secure servers (netload, maybe rapidshare ...).

    About that mediafire - 1. free user can upload max 200 MB
    2. Its american server, isnt it ?

  • anitoss on January 23, 2012 - 05:19 Reply

  • just.another.anonymous.lurker on January 23, 2012 - 02:32 Reply

    i think it is safe to say that honza and many other uploaders do not support non-incentive sites at this moment. oron, depositfiles and netload will be the primary options since US has no choke hold on them. yet.

    if honza chooses to promote/use free online storage hosts:
    #1 Rapidshare (probably create 5+ accounts since termination is a hassle)
    #2 mediafire

  • just.another.anonymous.lurker on January 22, 2012 - 15:43 Reply

    probably the only monetary site to consider adding is:

    depositfiles.com (a reliable russian based host). it maybe a hit or miss for some users but i have enjoyed their speed/services/incentives for nearly 5+ years.

    monetary sites to avoid:
    cramit.in, filepost, oron, filejungle, letitbit, filefactory.
    they either have freakishly slow speeds for free users, long down times, US based company, and/or their DMCA policy is very active (links wont last long).

    Rapidshare is great for free files. Very fast.
    Netload is very slow for me for free. Can be 10 hours for a small file.

  • longboy on January 22, 2012 - 13:57 Reply

    Filesonic is always best, No. 1, Please upload everything there, also letitbit.net is excellent for large files.

  • fP on January 22, 2012 - 12:33 Reply

    netload - best ohc imo!
    rapidshare - great for free users
    mediafire - awesome for free users full speed etc.
